"We've Got Talent" Rocks the House

The United Way of the Ouachitas Fourth Annual "We've Got Talent!" show offered terrific entertainment to a crowd of about 200 in attendance at the beautiful Jessieville Performing Arts Center. Our thanks to Dr. Ralph Carter, Superintendent of Jessiville School District, and Lydia deSambourg, Musical Director, for being such wonderful hosts.  The first place winner, Josue Ibarra of Hot Springs High School, earned $1500 in scholarship funds for his school.  The "Jazzieville" singers won second place with their acappella rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody," earning $1000.  Third place winner Shaun Holland of Magnet Cove High School took the $500 prize. Davis Tillman was our Master of Ceremonies, and Tom Moore of Jordan Woosley Crone and Keaton tabulated our results. Josh Allen of First Step provided special entertainment, and Spa City Youngbloods, from Blues in the Schools, provided the grand finale. Many thanks to our hard-working "Talent" committee:  Jackie Arrison, Terry Wallace, Kelly Bales, Sarah Oatsvall, Pam Perry, Jean Lacefield, Debbie Ugbade, Brandon Scott, Katie Yamauchi, and Katie Gibson.  Our generous sponsors for the event were the Morris Foundation, Entergy, Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union, Ike Eisenhauer State Farm Insurance Agency, 61 Celsius, and MedExpress.
