This is Week Twenty-Two
 Description of the
Lesson: The Third - Fifth Grade
students will be working with the software program "Microsoft FrontPage"
to begin work on designing their personal web page. The students
will
-
open a template file
-
save it to their disks,
-
open the saved file
-
make personal changes in color
-
make personal changes in font
-
add information to the page
-
save the new web page
-
export the new page to their student disk
The web pages they
create will be edited and then linked from their classroom web page. * If their parents have signed and
returned the proper permission slip.
**New permission slips will be sent home with students still
needing one on in the technology lab.
Kindergarten
Enrichment: The students will be exploring with
the software program Kid Pix Deluxe3. They will create and print a
picture of their choice. They will be learning to move through the
program and the commands.
First
Grade Enrichment: The students will be using
the program Kidspiration to do a science lesson titled "Where is This Made."
They will be linking products to the method used to make them. They
will then link to the source of the product. An example would be ice
cream which is made from dairy products. The dairy products come from
a cow.
Second
- Fifth Grade Enrichment: The students will be
working on their personal web pages. The students who have completed
their personal web pages will work on Typing Master to take the pre-test for
typing instruction.
News Crew Staff
Meeting: We will view and evaluate the morning
news. We will be discussing this week's audience poll to see who is
viewing the news and the selection of our weekly winners. They will
also make sure they have submitted their web page profile assignment for the
news crew web page.
Newspaper
Staff Meeting: The new staff for the Gardner
Newspaper will meet to discuss the edition for the 3rd nine weeks. We
will discuss a possible name for the edition. We will also discuss
grade level assignments for their stories.
