This is Week Thirty-Four
 Description of the
Lesson: The Third - Fifth Grade
students will be working on their Electronic Portfolios this week.
They will start their work with the slide for the
title, main menu page, bio page, and main projects page
of their portfolio.
Kindergarten
- Enrichment: Students will work with the Kid
Pix Program to complete a picture they create on their own. (This is
the first week for this group.)
First Grade
- Enrichment: The
students will be working with Kid Pix Deluxe 3 this week to create a picture
of their own with animation and sounds.
Second Grade Enrichment: The students will be
working with touch typing today at the beginning of the lesson. Once
they have completed their typing lesson for the day, they will visit the
Internet to view the web pages of students from the school.
Third -
Fifth Grade Enrichment: The
students will be working on their electronic portfolio projects. They
will work on the
title, main menu page, bio page, and main projects page
of their portfolio.. We will
also look at scanning documents to a disk for adding to their portfolios.
News Crew Staff
Meeting: The news crew will not meet this
week. I will be meeting with the yearbook staff and delivering
yearbooks today.
Newspaper
Staff Meeting: We will be discussing the
topics: Writing News Stories, A Reporter's Best Friends, and Find the Facts.
They will check the items from a list that might be something a reporter
would do when covering a story. Next they will discuss the KEYS to a
story - who, what, when, where, why, and HOW. Finally, they will put
their new skills to work in locating information from an article.
Yearbook Staff Meeting: The yearbook staff will
meet this week to deliver the yearbooks to the classes.
