Classes this week will be introduced to the new lab and equipment.
We will cover procedures, rules, and consequences for class. We will discuss the district and school web sites. We will view their grade level site as well as their teacher's web page. We will discuss my web site as a way of introducing myself to the class. The students will receive a "Welcome Card" from me. We will view the software programs: Kidspiration and Thinkin' Things. Kidspiration will be used to do a graphic organizer about their classroom and four main things to know about their room. Students will be instructed on how to open a program from the program menu (icons are not on the desktop for this program.) We will then explore the Thinkin' Things program to familiarize the students with the program and how it works. Students will be allowed to explore the program's different options. There is the Oranga Banga, Geathered Friends, Toony Loon, BLOX Flying Spheres, BLOX Flying Shapes, and the Fripple Shop. |
