This is Week Ten
Description of the Lesson:
The pupils will working with desktop publishing skills as they complete
their design for a
box cover for a computer knowledge board game. To create the cover,
they will enter and format text, create a WordArt title, insert a graphic
and apply a page border.
Materials: The students will be using
Microsoft Publisher. They will also use a Template
titled "Box.pub".
Skills Covered will include:

computers connecting schools, government agencies, and other organizations
for the purpose of sharing information. This information is transfered
primarily through telephone lines which link the computers together.

Define World Wide Web - a large part of the Internet
where users can access millions of Web pages containing text, graphics, and
other elements.

Access the school web site.

Discuss our school web pages - including the technology lab
links, lesson plans, and curriculum pages.

Explore sample web sites that demonstrate games and/or game
boards or boxes that can be found for purchase in the United States.

Explore and play games on the Internet with the remaining
class time.

Take student pictures for their personal web page on the
Internet if they have the proper permission slips returned.
