Clarice “Nikki” Anderson Selected as Principal at Oaklawn STEM Magnet School
Hot Springs, AR (April 15, 2025) — The Hot Springs School District is proud to announce Clarice “Nikki” Anderson has been selected as Principal of Oaklawn STEM Magnet School.
A proud graduate of Hot Springs High School, Anderson brings over two decades of experience in education, including more than 10 years of dedicated service within the Hot Springs School District. She has served in multiple roles throughout her career, including PreK teacher, second-grade teacher, literacy interventionist, and most recently, Assistant Principal at Oaklawn STEM Magnet.
“Mrs. Anderson has demonstrated a deep commitment to our students, staff, and school community,” Superintendent Dr. Stephanie Nehus said. “Her leadership, experience, and passion for student success make her an ideal fit to lead Oaklawn STEM Magnet into the future.”
Originally from Nashville, Arkansas, Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Henderson State University. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and an Educational Specialist Degree from Arkansas State University.
“I am most excited about continuing the relationships I’ve built with our students, staff, and families—and continuing to support our academic growth,” said Anderson. “I look forward to the challenge ahead and aim to be a leader who leads with both grace and purpose.”
Outside of her professional role, Anderson is actively involved in the Hot Springs community. She is married to her best friend, Tim Anderson, owner and operator of Tim’s Barbershop. Their daughter, Dr. Cameia Anderson, is also a proud graduate of Hot Springs World Class High School. Anderson enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering locally, and serving with the Hot Springs Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Anderson officially steps into her new role at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.
